FLIR IR Windows

FLIR IR Windows let you inspect live electrical cabinets and switchgear with a thermal camera while the panel stays closed. This reduces the risk of arc flash and makes routine inspections faster and safer.

They are available in 2, 3 and 4 inch sizes, in aluminium or stainless steel. The broadband crystal lens passes short, mid and long-wave infrared as well as visible light, so it works with any thermal camera. The PIRma-Lock system allows easy installation, and the windows are rated NEMA 4/12 for indoor and outdoor use, up to 260°C.

• Mechanical Fault Analysis: Detect bearing defects, misalignment, and other mechanical issues early to prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime.

• Partial Discharge Detection: Pinpoint electrical discharges in high-voltage systems, assess their severity, and classify PD types for targeted maintenance.

To maintain the FLIR Si2-Proâ„¢ in peak condition:

• Regularly clean the camera’s sensors and microphones using appropriate tools to ensure precise measurements.

• Store the device in its provided hard transport case to protect it from dust, moisture, and physical damage.

• Update the camera firmware via OTA (Over-The-Air) updates to access the latest features and fixes.

• Schedule routine calibration and servicing to ensure long-term accuracy and performance.
