FLIR Research Studio is software for research and development teams that need to capture and analyse thermal data in detail. It suits universities, laboratories and product testing departments.

It streams and records live data from several FLIR cameras at once, with tools for regions of interest, plots, measurements and image filters. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, supports more than 40 FLIR camera models including the A, T, E, X and RS series, and exports to PNG, JPG, CSV, TIFF and MP4. Standard and Professional editions are available, and a free Player app lets colleagues view recordings.

The FLIR Si2-Pro™ is perfect for various industrial applications, including:

• Leak Detection: Identify and measure compressed air, gas, and other leaks from up to 200m away, minimizing energy losses and operational costs.

• Mechanical Fault Analysis: Detect bearing defects, misalignment, and other mechanical issues early to prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime.

• Partial Discharge Detection: Pinpoint electrical discharges in high-voltage systems, assess their severity, and classify PD types for targeted maintenance.

To maintain the FLIR Si2-Pro™ in peak condition:

• Regularly clean the camera’s sensors and microphones using appropriate tools to ensure precise measurements.

• Store the device in its provided hard transport case to protect it from dust, moisture, and physical damage.

• Update the camera firmware via OTA (Over-The-Air) updates to access the latest features and fixes.

• Schedule routine calibration and servicing to ensure long-term accuracy and performance.
