The FLIR Si2-PD is an acoustic imaging camera built for electric utilities and anyone maintaining high-voltage equipment. Its 124 microphones and 2–130 kHz bandwidth detect and locate partial discharge (PD) from 0.3 m up to 200 m away, keeping inspectors at a safe distance.

AI-based analysis on the camera classifies the PD type and assesses its severity, with recommended actions. A 12 MP camera with 8× zoom and a 5-inch touchscreen show exactly where the problem is.

The FLIR Si2-Proâ„¢ is perfect for various industrial applications, including:

• Leak Detection: Identify and measure compressed air, gas, and other leaks from up to 200m away, minimizing energy losses and operational costs.

• Mechanical Fault Analysis: Detect bearing defects, misalignment, and other mechanical issues early to prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime.

• Partial Discharge Detection: Pinpoint electrical discharges in high-voltage systems, assess their severity, and classify PD types for targeted maintenance.

To maintain the FLIR Si2-Proâ„¢ in peak condition:

• Regularly clean the camera’s sensors and microphones using appropriate tools to ensure precise measurements.

• Store the device in its provided hard transport case to protect it from dust, moisture, and physical damage.

• Update the camera firmware via OTA (Over-The-Air) updates to access the latest features and fixes.

• Schedule routine calibration and servicing to ensure long-term accuracy and performance.
